Tender Details
Tender Description
Geoscience Australia (GA) and its partner the Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA) are undertaking a collaborative research project in the eastern Kimberley region of Western Australia. The project area extends approximately from Halls Creek in the north to Balgo in the South.
The Kimberley Gravity Project aims to collect gravity data in the region at 5km wavelength resolution by conducting an airborne gravity or airborne gravity gradiometry survey to help characterise key undercover geological elements of the region.
To achieve the Project aims, GA requires a Supplier to conduct airborne geophysical survey operations in this region to obtain the fundamental data. The proposed survey extends across 17.5 standard 1:100 000 Map Sheet Areas covering an approximate area of 48 000 km².In proving the Services, the supplier will provide all equipment and personnel to conduct the geophysical survey.
The services and specifications provided are not intended to be absolutely prescriptive of the surveying methods to be employed by the Supplier, but to establish a series of criteria and a level of expectation for the geophysical survey.
The intention is that where appropriate the Supplier may wish to propose alternate instrumentation for meeting the survey objectives. The services sought are aimed primarily at collecting high quality airborne gravity data to contribute towards achieving the survey’s desired science outcomes.
