Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The proposed New Intercity Fleet Maintenance Facility forms part for the New Intercity Fleet Program which will deliver 55.5 two-unit trains for the Newcastle, Central Coast, Blue Mountains and South Coast lines.

The proposed maintenance facility will be used to commission and maintain the new fleet of trains and is located at Kangy Angy on the Central Coast of NSW, bounded by Turpentine Rd, Ourimbah Rd and Orchard Rd.

The existing access to the proposed maintenance facility site is subject to flooding and is constrained by a low height underbridge at Turpentine Road (3.3m). This limits the ability of vehicles and plant to travel to and from site as required during construction of the proposed facility.

The Bridge and Roadworks contract package will provide a new flood free overbridge and access road from Enterprise Drive to the site without vertical height restrictions.
