Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The University seeks industry information and knowledge from the market for furniture supplies to institutional organisations.

The University intends to:
a. Categorise and standardise office furniture including desks, chairs, storage units and decorative accessories to simplify the process of procurement through the centralised database of furniture;
b. Facilitate and provide a platform for browsing and procuring the furniture with the pre-qualified/pre-approved suppliers and reduce operational cost;
c. Satisfy the compliance of university WHS requirements for furniture;
d. Comply with the University's Environmental Sustainability Policy which specifically includes the following requirements pertinent to furniture procurement:
i. Procuring products that are sustainably produced;
ii. Procuring products that have lower environmental impacts over the product's life cycle;
iii. Undertake environmentally sustainable fit-outs;
iv. Conserve natural resources and minimise waste;
v. Increase resource recovery and recycling

The demands of furniture are primarily from two physical areas in the University including:
1. General learning and teaching spaces (including laboratory chairs);
2. Offices areas;
