Tender Description
The Department of Primary Industries - Lands wishes to dredge the Clyde River entrance bar at Batemans Bay, NSW, 2536. The final design is to be prepared on the basis of a hydrosurvey carried out in July, 2015. Normal estuary processes and may have changed bed conditions since that date, so a pre-dredge survey will be required as part of this contract.
Maintenance dredging of the Clyde River entrance bar last occurred in 2013. During that campaign a cutter suction dredge transferred sand via pipeline to nourish nearby Corrigans Beach.
It is proposed dewatering will occur on the beach in a similar fashion but further transportation may be required to nourish an area on West Surfside Beach.
