Request for Quote - Bunding of Old Roads

⁠⁠⁠The Shire of Murchison is calling for quotes (hourly rate) for bunding works within the Murchison Shire.

The Shire Budget for these works is $50,000

Scope of works
Bunding of old roads - pushing up Material with dozer to form a bund (2mt wide x1.5mts high) straight out from the road side edge on both sides of road approx. 50mts long and then push up material to form a road over the centre of the bund so traffic can still travel over road.

Plant required
* Dozer D7 or similar size
* Service vehicle
* Own accommodation

No signage or TMP is required as works are on old roads.

All work sites (old roads) start off from the Carnarvon/ Mullewa/Road north of the Murchison Settlement:
* First work site is 51km
* Second work site is 60km
* Third work site is 82km

Murchison Settlement is 202km north of Mullewa on the Carnarvon/Mullewa Road.

Hourly rate to include - Fuel - Travel to and from work site - Accommodation. Mob and demob rate p/km

Works are to be carried out in day light hours only

Works will be of a standard and as required and directed by the Council’s Works Supervisor. The contractor may be requested to provide additional work where work provided is deemed to be sub-standard, at no cost to the council.

The contractor will be responsible for all insurances including Public Liability, Plant & Machinery, Workers Compensation and any other risk normally insured against in the road maintenance and construction industry.

The contractor shall work in the safest possible manner and shall comply with the current WA Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984 and Regulations including appropriate protective clothing (steel cap boots-reflective or high visible shirt or vest) for himself and all employees.
