* Commencement of works is scheduled from July 2016.

In July 2013 the Australian and Papua New Guinea Governments announced a Joint Understanding (JU) on further Bilateral Cooperation on Health, Education and Law and Order. The JU commits the Australian Government, via its development assistance program, to lead and undertake the upfront master planning, scoping and delivery of a wide range of capital infrastructure works and related activities.

In addition, the Australian Government has committed to develop a Pacific Leadership and Governance Precinct in Port Moresby. The development of the precinct will include the construction of a new School of Business and Public Policy at the University of Papua New Guinea and the construction of a new administration office and library at the Institute of Public Administration.

The Technical Enabling Unit (TEU) supports and manages the effective implementation of the capital infrastructure and ancillary works outlined in the JU and will also manage and oversee the provision of works required as part of the Pacific Leadership and Governance Precinct development.

All works will be tendered and procured through competitive means in line with the Australian Commonwealth Procurement Rules.

TEU is currently inviting interested parties to attend a briefing on the following construction projects to be undertaken at the Institute of Public Administration, and University of Papua New Guinea, Port Moresby:
* Administration office
* Student services building
* Library
* Lecture theatre
* School of Business and Public Policy building

Cardno is committed to Child Protection in all fields. Cardno is an equal opportunity employer.

The briefing will be held at 9:00am Wednesday 20 April in the Markham Room, Grand Papua Hotel, Port Moresby.

TEU is an Australian aid initiative supported by the Australian Government.
