Tender Description
The scope of the work is for a pole mounted low voltage Statcom, with a capacitive or inductive output current that is used to manage the voltage on Ergon Energy’s low voltage (240/415-V) network.
Ergon Energy is the electricity distributor for regional Queensland with a service area covering 97% of the state. Queensland at the end of 2015 had the highest level of roof top solar PV per capita in the world. This amount of solar at the customer level presents challenges to residential voltage regulation that is difficult to manage with existing voltage management techniques. The intent of the statcom is to complement the existing voltage management strategies and provide additional, dynamic and continuous voltage control at the low voltage (240/415-V) level.
The site of contract is the Ergon Energy distribution network in Queensland. Delivery of Goods will be to one of Ergon Energy’s main warehouses located in Cairns, Townsville or Maryborough.
The practical completion date for all work associated with this contract will be two (2) years from the date of the Agreement. Ergon Energy has allowed for term extension options of two (2) x (1) year extensions in this Contract. Ergon Energy will at its sole discretion determine if the Supplier is to be offered one or more one-year extension during the life of the Contract.
