Whitianga Wastewater Sludge Dewatering

⁠⁠⁠Thames Coromandel District Council would like to invite tenders for the desludging of the Whitianga Wastewater Plant holding pond.

The scope of the Contract comprises:
* Construction of any temporary works, including stormwater diversion if necessary, required to allow recovery of sludge from the aeration pond while maintaining wastewater treatment plant performance without risk of damage to or failure of wavebands and embankments.
* Design, supply and installation of lining for the geobag pond with an impermeable liner for collection of filtrate.
* Design, supply and installation of an appropriate sized pumping facility to be permanently installed in the pond.
* Design, supply and installation of pipework (or hose) from the pump to the inlet works of the plant (or as otherwise directed). Layflat hose or similar may be acceptable. This will be discussed during the site visit.
* Supply of geobags.
* Supply of polymer and associated plant for dosing.
* Removal of the sludge from the holding pond.
* Design and supply of any plant and pipe required for processing before the transfer to the geobags (including poly dosing).
* Transfer of the sludge to the geobags.
* Restoration of the site to the physical and operation conditions pertaining at the commencement of the Contract, including removal or the temporary works.
* Supply of post Works documents.
