Tender Description

Council is seeking professional consulting services to undertake a geotechnical assessment and review of coastal hazard for the Lake Cakora entrance area at Brooms Head, being a coastal erosion hotspot as indicated in the project brief.

The overall objective of this study is to understand the local geotechnical conditions, including extent, composition and resistance of the sub-strata, its ability to provide protection above that of unconsolidated sediments, and how any (resistant) sub-strata may affect the coastal hazard threat in the coastal erosion hotspot. The secondary outcome of the assessment will be to collect information on local geology and foundations for the possible future extension off the rock revetment wall south of the Ocean Rd bridge.

Electronic copy of the brief is attached. No hardcopy is to be provided.

Enquiries should be directed to Scott Lenton via email scott.lenton@clarence.nsw.gov.au, or Ph (02) 6643-0234.

Consultants should submit their proposal for consideration by Council and OEH addressed to:
The General Manager
Clarence Valley Council
Locked Bag 23
GRAFTON NSW 2460

Proposals should be submitted via Electronic Tender Box available on Council's E-Tendering Portal (see electronic tender box option below) with the project title: 'Geotechnical Investigation & Review of Coastal Hazard at Broooms Head' in the subject line.

The closing date for submission of proposals is 3pm, 11 April 2016. Proposals lodged by facsimile will not be accepted. Proposals lodged after the closing time and date will not be accepted.
