Waverley Council is calling for submissions of interest in the development of a site specific public art work in Waverley Mall, Bondi Junction. The objective is for an artwork that responds to the existing sense of place in Waverley Mall. The site is a public plaza space adjacent to Oxford Street and major entrances to Westfield. Waverley Mall functions as a major thoroughfare for local pedestrians and cyclists between the suburbs, Bondi Junction Terminal and Westfield. It is a quiet, leafy, paved thoroughfare housing a number of cafes with outdoor seating areas.
Stage 1 of the submission process closes on 26 April 2016. Submissions must be made via the tendersonline portal to be considered for the shortlist and concept development stages of the commission.
