Tender Description
The Western Australian (WA) Government introduced legislation in 2007 to allow for the random oral fluid testing of drivers. This road safety initiative was aimed at reducing road deaths, injury and the associated trauma normally connected with vehicle crashes. Research into driver fatalities shows that driving under the influence of drugs and drivers consuming illicit drugs and then driving has been increasing over the past several years.
The WA Police has a requirement for a mobile secondary oral fluid screening test kit equipment that will allow for the tests to be conducted by patrol units at the roadside.
