Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The Works comprise of:

The demolition, upgrade and refurbishment of the existing Home Economics Kitchen and teaching space at Nhulunbuy High School into a new VET hospitality kitchen including new fit-out, commercial cooking equipment, exhaust hoods, storeroom, teachers office, cool room and freezer. Work also includes:
* Demolition of existing concrete slabs,
* Demolition and salvage of mechanical FCU and
* Construction of new stud walls/doors/window, ceiling,
* Hydraulic/electrical /mechanical services including cool room, fit-out of new training kitchen and associated works.

The Contractor shall supply all labour, material, equipment and plant necessary to carry out the work.

The Contractor is to provide all temporary signs, lighting and barriers as required.

All works shall be in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards, the National Construction Code and manufacturer’s instructions for installation and maintenance.

The Contractor must verify all heights and dimensions on site prior to commencement of work and submission of tender price.

The Contractor must undertake works in accordance with this specification, drawings, project specific requirements, building permit and the Standard Specification for Small Building Works 2015/2016 edition.

Site of Works
The site of the Works is Nhulunbuy High School, Lot 23, 51 Matthew Flinders Way, Nhulunbuy.

Where work is required to be carried out in easements or on land adjacent to the site for the purpose of connecting services or joining up of roads etc. Ensure that the appropriate licences and approvals are obtained for work in those particular areas.
