Supply and Delivery of Water Quality Instruments

⁠⁠⁠The Department of Primary Industries’ Water Division requires the supply of up to 20 handheld multi-probe water quality instruments in the 2015/16 financial year, to service state water quality monitoring projects. The instruments will primarily be used to take in situ (attended) measures of temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen and electrical conductivity in riverine environments, but should have the potential to be adapted for other operational environments (eg large storage dams and/or unattended use) and additional parameters.

Their specifications and configuration need to be suitable for transportation and deployment by sole operators travelling and working in remote locations, and appropriate to NSW riverine and water storage conditions.

The supply of the instruments is to include all components required for calibration and operation, including:
* Sondes
* Sensors (reference, temperature, electrical conductivity, dissolved oxygen and pH);
* Cables (field (<6m), calibration, AC and cigarette lighter power adaptors, communications);
* Data loggers;
* Power sources (internal battery pack optional dependent on alternative power source);
* Manuals;
* Sensor guards and weights;
* Calibration / storage cups;
* Mooring caps for option of unattended use;
* Sensor maintenance kits;
* Any primary calibration standards required for initial set-up of instruments, and;
* Operating, calibration and communications software.

Optional accessories or services may include:
* Storage / transportation case;
* Additional ports for additional sensors (eg turbidity);
* Additional field cables (10m, 15m, 30m);
* Maintenance service plans, and;
* Training support.
