Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Provision of a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Solution - 510473

Brisbane City Council is seeking Proposals for the provision of a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Solution.

Council has a critical dependency upon reliable and secure ICT services to support its business services. Achieving acceptable security risk and adequate service reliability levels requires multiple integrated capabilities to work together effectively. These capabilities include providing Council with timely alerts when suspicious activity occurs and assistance in rapidly responding to these alerts.

An effective SIEM capability requires appropriately trained staff, integrated response processes and supporting software platforms. A properly resourced SIEM capability will detect information security events that are impractical to identify through other means and supports Council’s capability to accelerate defensive or corrective responses to these events.

Council is seeking to use this RFP to establish a Preferred Supplier Arrangement. Under this arrangement, Council will enter into a Contract with the successful Tenderer. The Contract will be for an Initial Term of approximately three years and a Maximum Term of approximately five years.
