Tender Description
Neil Avenue is located on the eastern border of the Council area, in Nuriootpa. The rear property boundary of the eastern properties share the boundary between the Light Regional Council and The Barossa Council.
There are 26 residential properties within Neil Avenue that have on site disposal systems. The majority of systems are not performing satisfactorily to meet Public and Environmental Health standards. Appropriate methods of disposal are limited given the soil conditions are not conducive for the provision of soakage trenches.
As a result, the Council in consultation with property owners has deemed the most appropriate method to deal with any issues of non-compliance with the Public and Environmental Health (Waste Water) Regulations is to install appropriate infrastructure within the road for existing systems from each property to connect to.
