Tender Description
As part of the T2T Alliance works associated with upgrading South Road, a new bridge for the Outer harbor Rail Line shall constructed to grade separate road traffic and rail traffic. This works shall be completed through a series and weekend and extended occupations.
The scope of this work is to complete prep works of Flash Butt Welding rails into maximum lengths of 109m.
The removal and re-instatement of the track between Coglin Street and Queen Street will be undertaken during the January 2017 21day occupation. The plan is to remove the existing track prior to the South Road overbridge installation. Then return when the South Road Bridge is installed and re-instate the Outer Harbor lines ballast, Broad gauge sleepers and new 50kg rails.
