Tender Description
The objective of this EOI is to source RTOs to deliver Traffic Management Design training courses under licence to TMR in conjunction with Approved Engineers. TMR will review submissions for suitability and quality of nominated trainers. The intent of the new Traffic Management Design training is to enable and upskill industry in the application of traffic management at roadworks.
The Traffic Management Design course is significantly more comprehensive than the previous Level 3 and Level 4 courses, offering an updated and enhanced training package that reflects the new expectations for designers of traffic management plans and traffic guidance schemes.
TMR will initially provide support to the approved RTOs with training material and train the trainer sessions. It will be a requirement beyond 30 June 2016, that anyone in a Traffic Management Design role must have completed the new Traffic Management Design course. Prior to this, TMR will require trainers who have not undertaken the course to meet minimum requirements following the two pathways below that will allow TMR to assess the nominated trainer's suitability as quickly as possible. This will enable the RTO to comply with training requirements under clause 7 of Schedule 2 of the Licence Agreement.
