EOI: Companion Animal Impoundment Facility

⁠⁠⁠The Muswellbrook, Upper Hunter and Singleton Shire Councils are seeking expressions of interest from experienced and suitably qualifi ed parties to provide companion animal impoundment facilities, which may be in one location or several, and be responsible for the care, release functions, and all administrative requirements in accordance with relevant statutory requirements.

A portion of the facilities operational costs will be subsidised by the Councils, with the amount to be assessed during the tendering process, (which occurs after the shortlisting from the expression of interest).

The expression of interest will be assessed based on the following criteria:

* Ability to house 20 dogs and 10 cats at any given time (estimated fi gures), in accordance with the draft Code of Practise for Council Pounds (a copy of which can be obtained by request from the contact below).
* Ability to comply with the statutory requirements under the Companion Animals Act 1998, Regulation 2008 and Guidelines.
* Ability to carry out day to day works in accordance with Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011.
* Ability to provide Councils with monthly Lifetime Registration and impoundment reports.

Submissions should be received no later than COB Wednesday 09 March 2016.
