Lease of Council Freehold Land

⁠⁠⁠Cook Shire Council. Request for Expression of Interest for the Leasing of Council freehold land at 3 and 5 Charlotte Street, Cooktown.

Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from individuals or organisations for the lease of two freehold lots at 3 and 5 Charlotte Street, Cooktown, for the purpose of operating a Recreational Vehicle camping facility.

The two lots are located at the entrance to the Cooktown racecourse.

Details of the lots are:
* 3 Charlotte Street: Lot 6/C17916 area 7,588m2
* 5 Charlotte Street: Lot 5/C17916 area 6,500m2

The current access road through the site to the racecourse will remain in place. Council will undertake to remove undergrowth and general cleaning up of the site.

Expressions of Interest are to provide all the following details:
1. Provision of potable water on site
2. Provision of dump point for disposal of grey and black water;
3. Fencing of the site;
4. Any proposed shelters, user gathering points;
5. Provision of electricity to the site;
6. Site management and management of users;
7. Proposed amount of lease payments to Council;
8. Proposed completion of development and opening date.
