Rural Coach Services NSW Trains

⁠⁠⁠NSW Trains provides rail services throughout New South Wales, parts of Queensland, ACT and Victoria under the brand name NSW Trains. NSW Trains also enters into contracts with private coach operators to provide road coach services throughout New South Wales and parts of Queensland, ACT and Victoria ("Rural Coach Services"), in regional areas not serviced by the XPT, Xplorer and Intercity Trains.

At present, the Rural Coach Services are organised into various routes ("Service Routes") to set timetables and detailed coach specification requirements, including the provision of wheelchair access on all services, linking different locations in New South Wales, ACT, Queensland and Victoria.

The services are in defined areas to set timetables and detailed coach specification requirements including the provision of wheel chair access on all services. NSW Trains is seeking interest for the 6 Service Routes outlined in the RFP.

The Contracts will have an initial term of five (5) years, and NSW Trains will have option to extend the contract for further term of three (3) years subject to the operator meeting performance requirements. NSW Trains requirements in relation to the Coach Services are outlined in this Request for Proposal (RFP).

Any operator who is an Accredited Service Operator under the Passenger Transport Act 1990 (NSW) ("the PTA") for long distance, tourist, charter, or regular passenger services can participate in this RFP.
