Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The Queensland Mental Health Commission is seeking proposals for Invitations to Offer for the following:-

Consultancy Services to undertake qualitative research to inform approaches for addressing the stigma and discrimination associated with accessing and maintaining employment for people with a lived experience of mental illness.

Summary of opportunity and QMHC objectives
This research project will seek to inform appropriate approaches to addressing stigma and discrimination related to gaining and maintaining employment for people with a lived experience of mental illness.

The QMHC has issued this Invitation to Offer to engage a research consultant to:
* Undertake qualitative research that investigates the systemic interplay of factors that impact on the employment for people with a lived experience of mental illness as described in 1.3 below
* Review relevant systems, processes and initiatives to identify the most effective and appropriate way to incorporate methods aimed at reducing stigma related to employment for people with a lived experience of mental illness (including consideration of whether contact-based strategies are appropriate in this context or otherwise)
* Prepare a report that presents these findings and makes recommendations to support development of an approach for reduction of stigma associated with employment for people with a lived experience of mental illness.
* Include particular emphasis on assessing the applicability, appropriateness and safety of contact based strategies as part of a stigma reduction focused on employment for people living with mental illness.
