No. RFQ2015/107: Installation of Bike Lanterns, Pittwater Road, Narrabeen.
Council has received funding from Transport for NSW (TfNSW) for the Active Transport Projects so as to improve local access to new B-Line (bus rapid transit) stop at both Narrabeen and Collaroy.
As part of these works the installation of bike lanterns at the signalised pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Pittwater Road and Ocean Street Narrabeen is required.
The scope of works includes the provision of bike lanterns to the existing pedestrian crossings as well as the upgrade of the existing kerb access ramps and line marking as follows:
* Install new bike lanterns to existing P1 and P2 pedestrian crossing
* Removal of existing and installation of new line marking to marked foot crossings to comply with current standards
* Remove existing and construct new 1 x 1500 wide kerb access ramp north-west corner
* Remove existing 4.1 m wide kerb access ramp, construct new 2 x 1200 wide kerb access ramp and kerb on north-east corner
* Remove existing and construct new 1 x 1200 mm wide kerb access ramp south east corner
The scope includes the management of all site safety and environmental issues including the provision of traffic control, traffic management plans, road occupancy licenses, management of pedestrian safety.
