Tender Description

Warringah Council (Council) invites tenders for the carrying out and completion of major works for the Refurbishment of the existing male and female amenities and the construction of a new accessible amenity at Beverley Job Park, Narraweena.

The Tenderers are to allow for the execution of all works as set out in the specification, drawings, schedules and documentation listed in Part D and Part E.

The scope of works include but are not limited to:

Refurbishment of the existing male and female amenities within the sporting club, generally the works entail replacement of existing fixtures and fittings, replacement of glass blocks with louvred windows and new floor and wall tiles.

In addition, a new accessible amenity is to be constructed adjacent to the existing sporting club building and will include external coloured concrete paving, re-turfing and steel framed timber screens all as documented on architectural plans.

General
Liaison with council appointed project manager as required.
Protection of existing services, structures and equipment
Underground services location prior to all excavation works.
Care must be taken when working in the vicinity of retained trees.

The work site must be free from debris, waste materials and potential hazards after each day's work

A detailed preliminary construction programme must be submitted showing the stages and the various work components

Allow for restoration of roads, paved areas, kerbs and gutters and turfing areas in Beverley Job Park with Kikuyu grass as required.
Allow for replacement of removed tree with suitable alternative in consultation with project manager and Council's tree management officer.
Removal of demolition materials to an approved waste or recycling centre and evidence to be retained on site
Allow for all associated authority fees, security bonds and charges, permits and licences
Allow for all plant and equipment
Allow for weekly site meeting and as required by council project manager

Pre-Construction
Pre-construction work to include but not limited to:

Site establishment including temporary site fencing, safety barricades, and temporary signage as required Set out Council has undertaken an in-ground services survey, and will provide this for information only, the builder is responsible for carrying out their own investigation and do dial before you dig. The builder is responsible for any make good if damage is caused by the builder to existing services.

Provision of a detailed construction program

Provision of the following documentation at least one week prior to site establishment:
WHS management plan (site specific)

Construction
Tree removal in accordance with Council's tree management officers recommendations.

Hydraulic and electrical services.
Concrete paving, screening and roof plumbing.
Internal fitout including all joinery items.
Doors and windows.
Refurbishment of existing male and female amenities.
Landscaping works.
Certifications and warranties.
Post Construction
Post construction work to include but not limited to:
Defects inspection with council as required during the defects liability period and issue of defects rectification list
Rectification of defective work and follow up inspections with council as required
Providing progress status of rectification work during the defects liability period
Staging

The works are to be staged as follow:

Stage 1
1) Accessible amenity.
2) Concrete porch
3) Concrete path
4) Landscaping
5) Vertical timber screen

Stage 2
1) Refurbishment of mens and womens amenitiesThe works are expected to commence in February 2016.a
