Tender Description

Tourism Tasmania is the Tasmanian Government’s tourism marketing agency. Its main purpose is to connect people to Tasmania through domestic and international marketing programs that create demand for Tasmanian holidays and attract more visitors to the state.

Tourism Tasmania obtains insights from its research programs into the state’s tourism markets and visitors, and applies these insights to its marketing programs to enhance Tasmania’s holiday appeal and attract more visitors.

Tourism Tasmania is seeking the services of an experienced market research firm to deliver a research program that will provide the Agency with a detailed understanding of its domestic (interstate) markets and marketing performance, and help guide its strategic marketing decisions and campaign development.

The main objectives of the marketing research program are to measure and evaluate Tourism Tasmania's campaigns and marketing effectiveness;  track Tasmania's destination brand health; monitor market behaviour and the performance of Tasmania as a leisure destination for the Australian travelling population, and benchmark Tasmania's marketing performance.
