Nexus Delivery requires the supply, installation and maintenance of a Digital Radio Communication system with encryption capability for its Toowoomba Second Range Crossing Project. Prospective Suppliers shall note the following requirements (in relation to the system):

* Coverage to be capable of providing approximately 98% critical coverage in construction zones with clear and understandable speech on transmit and receive across the project 41km corridor;
* Talk groups capable of use across any individual, or multiple construction zones, for hand portable radios only, portables may be in vehicles/cabins without external antennas;
* Standard individual talk groups for each construction zone as per the site layout below using UHF CB channels ;
* Two emergency talk groups providing coverage to all construction zones;
* Emergency groups to override any existing traffic;
* Primary emergency talk group to monitor, and be capable of two way audio transmit/receive to a single dedicated UHF CB radio channel that will require coverage across all construction zones as an emergency only UHF CB channel (Single channel TBD);
* Secondary emergency talk group for specific hand portables;
* Radios to have capability of being stunned to prevent unwanted use in the event of radio being stolen; and
* Private calls between specified radios.

Nexus Delivery will be seeking both lease and outright purchase pricing during the tender.
