Roper Gulf Regional Council is one of the Northern Territory's largest local governments with an annual budget of over $40m and responsibility for delivering a range of services from North of Katherine, across to the Gulf of Carpentaria, down to the Queensland border and back across through Borroloola, Daly Waters and Mataranka. This area alone is over 144,000km2 and roughly the size of the state of Victoria.
Council covers service provision for major townships and communities including:
* Barunga
* Beswick (Wugularr)
* Bulman
* Eva Valley (Manyalluluk)
* Numbulwar
* Ngukurr
* Borroloola
* Daly Waters
* Larrimah
* Mataranka
* Jilkminggan
* Minyerri (Hodgson Downs)
Council is responsible for a range of community infrastructure and specifically has a desire to improve its asset management processes, local roads, stormwater drainage and traffic management in a number of the above communities.
Council is seeking quotations of suitably qualified and experienced engineering firms to undertake a range of design, asset management and estimation works at various locations throughout the Council areas. The successful company/s will be working closely with the Director Contracts and Technical Services and Director Council Services and Infrastructure during the implementation of the following projects:
Project 1: Road and Storm Water Drainage Audit
Project 2: Barunga Traffic Management
Project 3: Drainage Plan Lot 57 Barunga
Project 4: Intersection Upgrade Plan Beswick
Project 5: Tourist Parking Bay Design Borroloola
Project 6: Borroloola CBD Searcy Street Drain Design
Project 7: Manyalluluk Road Network Upgrade Plan
Project 8: Rainbow Street Drainage Plan
