Tender Description
The works under this Contract consist of the construction of approximately 4.025 km of road upgrade works along Turpentine Road, Tomerong commencing at Flat Rock Creek Bridge Chainage 8890 (measured from the Princes Highway) to Chainage 12915, near Braidwood Road.
The scope of work under the Contract shall be for all works as described in the Contract Documents that is necessary to provide works that are suitable for the intended purpose, and includes, but is not limited to the following:
* Removal of all trees and vegetation within the nominated road corridor, up to an extent 5.5 m from the proposed edge line or toe of embankment (whichever is the greatest);
* Earthworks necessary for cut/fill to formation, including batters and establishment of table drains and tail-out drains throughout;
(Note: Contractors should consider the effect of maintenance works that may have been carried out since the original survey);
* Drainage (pipe and culvert) crossing extension and new under roadways and at private accesses and fire trails;
* Upgrade, widening and primer sealing of Turpentine Road for the full length of the works;
* Formation and finishing of table drains and batters;
* Linemarking and signposting, including installation of guide posts throughout; and
* Restoration and cleaning up of site upon completion and removal and disposal of any waste materials etc.
The Contractor shall allow for all other work not listed separately but necessary to fulfil the scope and true intent of the Contract documents. The Contractor shall be responsible to supply all labour, plant, materials and services necessary to provide works that are suitable for their intended purpose.
