The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (the Department) has released a Request for Information to potential Suppliers that may be interested in providing options for the use of remote sensing technologies through the Biosecurity Remote Sensing Research and Development Project.
The objective of the project is to determine the most efficient, innovative and cost effective means to accurately survey large scale land areas using sophisticated aerial remote sensing, imaging and detection technology and applications, that focus on the collection of advanced science-centric biological data for pest surveillance and potential validation of pest treatment/s (primarily focussed on Red Imported Fire Ants) in South East Queensland.
