Request for Proposal for the supply of PTZ, Thermal, Dual PTZ/Thermal and Fixed Cameras at fifteen (15) critical infrastructure sites across New South Wales enhancing the ability for RMS to monitor and protect its assets.
The CCTV systems that are installed across a number of critical and strategic RMS infrastructure assets are the primary component for the protection of those assets.
The CCTV video management system has recently been upgraded to a system that can provide transport cluster wide interoperability, advanced functionality, and in is line with current available technology.
In addition to the VMS upgrade, the CCTV system has an expanded storage capability and VPN network functionality, providing storage for the higher quality images without reducing the period of storage across the network.
Previously, Stage 1 of the CCTV upgrade replaced 160 older technology analogue fixed cameras on the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Stage 2 (this RFP) will replace the remaining cameras across the network of assets that are currently monitored by the RMS control room.
On completion of this program, the entire RMS CCTV network will be in digital IP format with up to date functionality and will provide a longer term resolve for the monitoring of RMS infrastructure.
These cameras will also allow the application of analytics and further automation of monitoring systems.
