Port Stephens Council covers some 970 square kilometres, or 55 kilometres east to west and 30 kilometres north to south. Its boundaries extend east to Fingal Bay, west to Hinton and Woodville, north to Karuah and south to Hexham and Fern Bay. Council has two Works Depots; one at Raymond Terrace, the other at Nelson Bay.
