Council is calling for Expressions of Interest in order to:
Establish the level of interest in the site;
Understand how interested parties may wish to use the site; and

Receive comparable information from interested parties in order to fairly assess suitability of redevelopment proposals.

Council is seeking an EOI to invite suitable organisations with the experience and financial capacity to redevelop and operate the complex based on the site existing zoning and objectives. Submissions will be assessed based on the quality of the responses and compliance with the EOI. The best rated submissions that comply with the Council's objectives of the site will be shortlisted for a possible select Tender process.

The Reserve is suited in Zone RE1 for Public Recreation, it is essential that the development to comply with the followings: Consistent with the intent of the Powells Creek Master Plan (Appendix B), this will include widening and enhancement of cycle path and pedestrians' access between the proposed facility and Powells Creek;

Comply with the zoning requirement for Zone RE1 (Refer to Strathfield Local Environmental Plan 2012): and

Maximise the open space reserve with premises that can be used for indoor recreation and/or community services and/or other associated purposes.
