Tender Description
* ACT Health is seeking a service provider to manage an eight-bed Ngunnawal Bush Healing Farm (NBHF) Alcohol and Other Drug Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Residential Rehabilitation Service.
* The overarching goal of the NBHF is to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities by addressing the complex issues that relate to alcohol and other drug abuse through implementing culturally appropriate prevention, education, rehabilitation programs.
* The NBHF will be an innovative service, bringing best practice alcohol and other drug rehabilitation within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander holistic cultural healing framework. It will aim to provide the opportunity for an individual to learn to better manage alcohol and other drugs and learn proactive skills, whilst reconnecting to country and culture. By completing the program at NBHF service, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents should have the support systems in place to help them integrate hack into the ACT wider community.
