Rio Tinto’s South of Embley (SoE) project is located approximately 40 km south-west of Weipa in Far North Queensland, Australia. The Project Site will require a Contractor to provide a professional licensed security Services to support the Project requirements for access control of personnel and vehicles.

Work Included
The contractor must be able to supply all labour, tools, equipment, materials, consumables and supervision to be able to provide the Project with 24 hour Security Services that will operate 7 days a week for approximately 36 months in duration. The Security Service provider must have the resources to accommodate security access control of personnel and vehicles for a workforce of approximately 1500 people. The Project site will have three (3) main security points which will be approximately 40kms apart; therefore the contractor must have the resources to be able to provide fully independently operable security huts.

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following;
* Provide a professional site access control service including static and roving patrols for three access points to the jobsite.
* Provide a professional security control (roving patrol only) of the accommodation village.
* Manage and record the access and the entry/exit of employees, contractors, visitors and materials delivery personnel
* Manage contractor and visitor entry to ensure that the entry documents are in order, approved and appropriate inductions are undertaken (through verification with Company Representatives).
* Conduct site visitor and permit holder inductions for all South of Embley Project site visitors and permit holders. Issue visitor and permit holder ID tags.
* Arrange escort of visitors and deliveries.
* Maintain records of visitors, permit holders and deliveries. Ensure such personnel are appropriately attired to enter the Jobsite.
* Manage security and site access control in accordance with relevant procedures and policies.
* Manage and perform bag and vehicle searches in accordance with relevant procedures and policies to identify prohibited, restricted and unauthorised items.
* Prevent unauthorised people, vehicles, chemicals and materials from entering the Jobsite.
* Where required, intercept equipment and materials arriving at the Jobsite and hold until inspection certificates are available.
* Issue and retrieve visitor personal protective equipment (PPE) and identification (ID) tags where issued by the Project.
* Implement appropriate control measures to minimize the opportunity for misappropriation of South of Embley Project materials and equipment,
* Complete end-of-shift reviews using the access control system and report non-compliance to the South of Embley Site Manager and Site Senior Executive at the start of the next shift.
* Monitor the site emergency radio channel for emergency calls and respond in accordance with the Site Emergency Plan.
* Monitor CCTV systems as supplied.
* Complete a shift report listing the times of patrols and all incidents that occurred throughout the shift.
