Supply, Delivery, Installation and Commissioning of One (1) Cryostat for Immunology, PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA

⁠⁠⁠PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA (PathWest) provides pathology services to four major tertiary teaching hospitals, metropolitan and rural public sector hospitals, private medical and pathology practices and regional areas throughout Western Australia.

The PathWest Department of Immunology at the QEII Medical Centre (Immunology QEII) provides a diagnostic laboratory test service for autoantibodies, allergy, immunodeficiency and complement deficiencies. Immunology QEII also provides a diagnostic biopsy service, cutting and staining 4 micron sections of frozen biopsies by direct immunofluorescence for examination and reporting by the department’s Immunopathologists.

PathWest is seeking Offers for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of one (1) Cryostat instrument. Optional post-warranty maintenance for a period of up to four (4) years forms part of this Request.

The Cryostat is required to freeze and section biopsies for direct immunofluorescence staining, among other applications.
