Tender Description

The Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing (NPSR) is inviting offers from suitably qualified suppliers for the provision of works for the Lomandra Day Use Area Upgrade.

Samford Regional Park is a unique park, situated about 20 km from Brisbane’s CBD. This 624-hectare park is a refuge for native flora and fauna, protecting important habitats for reptiles, mammals and birds, and forms part of the Mountains to Mangroves Corridor. From the impressive narrow-leaved red ironbark trees Eucalyptus crebra, to the amazing possums, lorikeets and flying-foxes, the park is full of life.

The department is looking to improve the area over 4 Stages which includes redesigning the Lomandra Day Use Area as a mountain bike hub.

This first project would entail (Stages 1-3) including the removal of all facilities (toilet block & shelter shed, picnic slab and concrete path) and the rear two carparks at Lomandra & Ironbark Gully and the redevelopment of the front car park at Lomandra to maintain one carpark.

Contractors can submit Offers to complete the 3 Stages or just individual stages as follows:
Stage 1 - Demolition of Facilities
Stage 2 - Demolition of rear carparks x 2
Stage 3 - Construction and resurfacing of front carpark
