Bangalow NSW - SPS1003 Inlet Works Upgrade

⁠⁠⁠Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified and experienced parties;
1 Rebuild a collector maintenance hole (MH) and replace existing 150mm inlet works with a new 450 DN DICL sewer main, 450 DN inlet valve and tee.
2 Complete nominated upgrade works in the existing sewer pump station (SPS).

SCOPE
1 Excavate and bench adjacent to the existing MH V/1 and SPS1003 to a working depth of approximately 3.6 m below ground level, stabilise excavation and install fall protection as required.
2 Construction
Preferred Option - Deconstruct the existing collector MH and install a new 450 DN (DICL) sewer main between the MH and SPS.
Alternatively, construct a new manhole adjacent the existing manhole and cut over. Amended construction plans to be submitted and approved by Council for this option.
3 SPS inlet works, core the existing SPS inlet and replace the 15Omm inlet valve and tee with a new 450 DN (SRV) inlet valve and tee. Install a new valve stem and valve cover.
4 Reconstruct the MH and SPS Inlet works. Backfill, compaction and site restoration in accordance with WSA guidelines and Northern River Local Government Development Design and Construction manuals.

In consultation with Councils' sewer operator divert and manage existing sewage flows to a bypass system and/or road transport to Bangalow Sewerage Treatment Plant (BSTP)
