Construction of Koondrook Wharf

⁠⁠⁠Tenders are invited for the construction of the Koondrook Wharf and associated infrastructure adjacent the Murray River in Koondrook Victoria.

The development will represent a regionally-significant tourism asset in its own right, which will stimulate the visitor economy of the Loddon Mallee Region, whilst also complementing other investments promoted under the ‘Ports of the Murray’ initiative.

The Wharf will provide the following:

* Mooring facilities to support local recreational activity and commercial operations (including paddle steamer access)
* Casual access to the Murray River foreshore to support a range of leisure and recreational activities
* Interpretation of the original wharf (adjacent to the proposed site of the new wharf) and surrounding area
* Deck access to frame key views and support events and activities
* Public realm works around the existing tramway turntable to support local business and community activity

An architecturally-striking development which will act as an attractor in its own right and provide a critical linkage in the wider Murray River visitor experience.

Tenders may either be lodged electronically via the e-Tendering portal provided through council’s website or lodged in written form at the Tender Box. Written tenders must be lodged at Council’s Tender Box, Patchell Plaza, 47 Victoria St, Kerang.

Tenders will not be accepted in any form after 4:00pm on Monday 9 November 2015. Tenders will not be accepted at any other office of Council.
