Quantity: 18 sets
In case of Diesel Oil & Lubricating Oil, pump bearing shall be internally placed at both sides of rotor in the casing and lubricated by the pumped liquid. For all bilge and sludge handling duties then pumps with external, grease lubricated bearings are to be applied.
Mechanical seal shall be applied for gear and screw pumps but gland packing or manufacture’s standard seal shall be applied for single rotor pump.
Drive-shaft glands and seals are to be located at the suction or low-pressure side of the pump casing.
The safety valve shall be fitted to protect the pump and motor against the excessive pressure.
For diesel fuel pump, the low viscosity (2 cSt at 40°C) of pump side to be also satisfied in consideration of using light diesel oil and long period running of these pumps.
Guarding of exposed rotating parts of machinery shall comply with current, best HSE practice, refer to SOLAS requirement.
