Registration of Interest for Roadside System Project for Toowoomba Second Range Crossing

⁠⁠⁠In August, the State announced the Nexus Consortium had been awarded a contract to deliver the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing (TSRC), a planned bypass route to the north of Toowoomba. The TSRC will be a tolled road and it is the State’s intention to work with private sector contractors to develop an end-to-end toll collection capability for the TSRC, starting with the procurement of a Roadside System.

The State invites parties to register their interest in a Request for Proposals Process for the Roadside System (RSS) Project. The objective of the RSS Project is to:

* Design a Roadside System, with reference to the TSRC design specifications;
* Install and commission the Roadside System, featuring roadside tolling system equipment and infrastructure; and
* Maintain and support the Roadside System under a managed service arrangement.

The RSS Project does not include back office tolling services; these will be procured by the State separately at a later date.

The State has prepared a number of documents to explain its tender process; these are attached to this QTender webpage. Interested parties, with the appropriate capability and experience, are invited to download these documents and register their interest with the State in accordance with the prescribed tender process.

The expected closing date for Proponents to submit Proposals in response to the RFP is 2pm Friday, 13 November 2015.
