Tender Details
Tender Description
The University of Tasmania is a participant in the Sense-T program in collaboration with CSIRO and the Tasmanian State Government. The University of Tasmania has received a grant from the Australian Research Council (ARC) for an Industrial Transformation Research Hub (ITRH) titled "Pathways to Market: Transforming Food Futures Through Improved Sensing, Provenance and Choice", ("Pathways To Market"). This Research Hub is administered within the Sense-T program office, and involves researchers and industry collaborators across multiple organisations.
The Pathways To Market ITRH is undertaking research to improve the value of Tasmanian food exports through improved sensing and communication of data and derived information, from the production base to the consumer. In parallel, it is also examining systems for improved Natural Capital Accounting.
A project requirement that has emerged from the work to date is for the development and provision of Real Time Water Quality (RTWQ) sensors, as described in the Tender Specification document. The RTWQ sensors are required in order to substantiate the research into both food provenance and Natural Capital Accounting, by providing environmental data from the source of the food production.
Only fixed-price quotes are sought which must be inclusive of all professional services and out-of-pocket expenses.
