Tender Description
The Department of Health is seeking a food literacy community education and skills development service that will contribute to the following community outcomes for Western Australians:
* Increased dietary intake consistent with national dietary guidelines, in particular:
* Increased intake of fruit, vegetables and wholegrain foods
* Reduced intake of discretionary (energy-dense, nutrient-poor) food and drinks.
The proposed service will also contribute to the achievement of the community outcomes above through the following:
* Increased food literacy self-efficacy
* Increased application of food literacy knowledge and skills
* Improved food purchasing and preparation in line with the national dietary guidelines.
