Boundary and Roadside Spraying Snowy Region

⁠⁠⁠The most effective period for weed control in Snowy Region is during the late spring and summer months. The successful contractor/s would need to ensure their availability during this time in order to complete the program, and would need to commit to a set number of hours over this period.

This will be agreed on in the contract but would be something like;

November – minimum of 50 hours to be completed
December – minimum of 100 hours to be completed
January – minimum of 100 hours to be completed
February – minimum of 100 hours to be completed
March – minimum of 100 hours to be completed

There may be some spraying work required at other times of the year (e.g. Patterson’s curse control during winter months).

It is expected that one or two tenderers would get allocated the most work, however other suitable tenderers may be placed on an eligibility list and offered work where required.

Based on previous seasons it is estimated that there will be approximately 1000 hours (one operator equivalent) of contract spraying work required to complete the program. Variation to this number of hours may occur due to factors such as adverse weather conditions.
