Tender Description
The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF), Queensland is inviting expressions of interest to commercialise and further develop macadamia varieties developed through a conventional genetic hybridization and improvement program.
Macadamia breeding currently managed by the Department and funded through Horticulture Innovation Australia (HIA) has produced a selection of 20 candidate macadamia genotypes that have a potential to increase in productivity and hence overall greater profitability to growers.
DAF is offering these improved genotypes (lines) of macadamia to commercial parties to tender for further development, production and marketing within Australia.
