Woolgoolga to Ballina - Early Works - Wave 4 (Tuckombil Canal)

⁠⁠⁠The NSW Government’s Code of Practice for Procurement (NSW Code) and the NSW Government’s Implementation Guidelines to the NSW Code of Practice for Procurement for: Building and Construction Industry (NSW Guidelines) apply to this project. Compliance with the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines is a pre-requisite to submitting any response to a procurement process (expression of interest or tender response) and to any successful applications being awarded.

The Building Code 2013 (Building Code) and the Supporting Guidelines to the Building Code 2013 (Supporting Guidelines) applies to this project. This document can be viewed at the Australian Government website at www.employment.gov.au/BuildingCode.

It is a requirement for this project that the successful contractor be accredited under the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme at the time of entering into the contract for the contract work and while the contract work is being carried out. Information on the Scheme is available on the Australian Government website at www.fsc.gov.au.

Tenders are invited from suitably qualified Contractors for the upgrade of HW10 Pacific Highway Upgrade, Early Works – Wave 4 (Tuckombil Canal). The scope of works involves enabling soft soil treatment works for the future northbound Pacific Highway (HW10, MC10), Woolgoolga to Ballina. Wave 4 covers one soft soil site known as:
* Soft Soil Site Section 8 – approximately 1.4 km, STN 129,500 to STN 130,900 north of Grafton (Tuckombil Canal).

The Head Contractor / Sub-Contractor must be pre-qualified with RMS in following criteria, applicable to both contracts.

Head Contractor:
* Roadworks Class R3 or higher
* Financial Level F20 or higher

Head Contractor / Sub-Contractor:
* Traffic Control – Registered in Category G : Traffic Control
* Earthworks and Drainage – Pre-qualified for Roadworks or registered in Category E : Earthworks or Category D : Drainage, respectively
* Laboratory Testing (including Sampling) – Registered in Category L1: Construction Industry Laboratories
* Erosion and Sedimentation Control – Registered in Category S: Erosion, Sedimentation and Soil Conservation Consultancy Services
* Supply of Minor Steel items – Prequalified for Steel Fabrication or Registered at Class SM or higher.

A pre-tender meeting and a site inspection will be held at a date, time and location to be confirmed. Attendance is mandatory to submit a conforming tender. Tenderers purchasing the documents will be advised of the full details of the meeting.
