Tenders Plant and Machinery Hire

⁠⁠⁠Boulia Shire Council is seeking tenders for hired plant to be used in flood damage road restoration and construction and maintenance works, on an intermittent basis for the year ending 31st December, 2016.

This tender is for the wet and dry hire of a variety of plant and heavy machinery including (but not limited to) the following:
* Backhoe, Bob Cat, Bulldozer
* Crushing Plant - mobile suitable for gravel crushing, screening etc
* Caravan for remote worker accommodation & mobile lunch rooms
* Excavator
* Emulsion Sprayer - mobile trailer
* Flow Con Truck, Jet Patcher, Cockerel Truck
* Front End Loader
* Generators (Diesel)
* Grader
* Pumps - Heavy duty pumps, 4” portable and larger trailer mounted 6”
* Road Trains - Side tippers, single, double and triple
* Rollers – self propelled and towed, multi tyre, flat drum and grid
* Road Stabiliser
* Tractor - with or without roller, broom or slasher
* Trucks – Small, Medium and Semi Trailers, Tippers & Low Loader
* Trailers – Box Trailer & Plant Trailers, Fuel Trailer
* Utility - Diesel 4x4, flat tray crew cab for remote use
* Water trucks and Tanker trailers 32kl or combination road trains

Council may seek to utilise contract operators and labourers for operation of dry hired plant or to assist with traffic control and construction works when plant is not in use, so tenders should include rates for standby and contract staff where available.

Contractors are advised they are not bound to tender for all items of plant listed, however you must obtain a copy of the tender documentation and complete all non-optional questions to have submitted a complying tender.

A pre-tender meeting is to be held at the Shire Hall, Herbert Street Boulia on Thursday 10th September commencing at 2.30pm, it is recommended that all interested persons attend this session.
