Tender Description
The Panorama Substation contains two 132/66kV 120 MVA power transformers, two 11kV/415V auxiliary transformers and various instrument transformers that are oil filled. The current bunds containing the power transformers and auxiliary transformers are non-draining brick bunds that are intended to trap oil in the event of a transformer failure. The secondary containment is a single 13 kL spill oil tank which serves the entire switchyard.
TransGrid propose an upgrade of the oil containment system at Panorama 132/66kV substation to establish a safe and reliable mechanism of containing oil and fire in the possible event of failure of oil filled equipment.
