⁠⁠⁠The Soil Conservation Service is seeking a contractor to complete levee bank slashing in the Hunter region using 4x4 off road registered tractors and remote mowers where appropriate. This consists of 12 different areas stretching from Shortland to Aberdeen. Sites will need to be slashed between 7 and 12 times per year as outlined in tender documents. Woody vegetation mulching maybe required on an as needs basis.

Tenderers will be required to attend a mandatory briefing session where a  tour will be given of three typical sections of the HVFM that require slashing and asked to provide quotation on a $/m2 rate factoring in summer and winter conditions. The successful contractor will be contracted up to a three year period (1 year contract period with two x 1 year options). Contractors will also be asked to provide details of the equipment they utilise, including 4X4 off road registered tractors, remote mowers and woody vegetation mulching equipment. Contractors will be asked to provide details of experience on similar types of work, including experience in liaising with landholders. Contractors will be asked to provide details on their company’s safety performance in providing similar services. Other services such as mulching woody vegetation will also be required on a site specific basis.
