Provision of Services for Youth Residential Rehabilitation Units located at Greenslopes, Cairns and Townsville

⁠⁠⁠Children's Health Queensland is seeking Proposals for Youth Residential Rehabilitation Units located at Greenslopes, Cairns and Townsville.

The scope of services to be delivered in each Youth Resis include provision of a bed-based residential service for up to five young people 24 hours per day, 7 days per week in accordance with the Model of Service (Appendix 1).  The service will:

* Provide high quality care to young people with a focus on building resilience, fostering individual wellbeing, and assisting in the recovery of an appropriate developmental trajectory.
* Provide transitional life skills programs that operate five days per week and include targeted flexible programs aimed at individual, family and group therapeutic support, and independent living skills.
* Assist young people to maintain hope and progress in their recovery, and to live with mental health issues where such issues persist in the long term.
* Support young people and their families/carers, including facilitating smooth transition to other appropriate services.
* Assist young people to maintain or regain engagement in developmentally appropriate learning or vocational tasks.
* Work with young people to develop their personal support systems, and live successfully within their community.
* Reduce the need for inpatient admissions.
* Decrease stigma and discrimination within the local community and reducing barriers to social inclusion for young people.
