Maintenance Services - Bushland Reserves

⁠⁠⁠THE CITY OF COCKBURN (The Principal) is seeking the services of a suitably qualified licensed and experienced Bushland Maintenance Contractor(s) to improve the condition of the bushland and fencing by undertaking regular maintenance in the Principal's conservation reserves.

The Contractor, its staff and/or its Sub-Contractors are required to hold a current individual Pest Control Operator's Licence registering them to use the chemicals identified in the Specifications.

In addition the Contractor's Site Supervisor is required to have:
* A minimum of three (3) years' experience in bushland maintenance;
* Certificate in Conservation and Bushland Management or equivalent or trade experience in Bushland Management;
* Extensive knowledge of bushland maintenance materials, plant and equipment;
* Extensive knowledge of bushland weed control methods; and
* Extensive knowledge of local flora and fauna.

Each reserve is a remnant area of bushland and may either be surrounded by residential areas, industry and vacant land or a combination of any of these.

The scope of works includes inspection, chemical and manual weed control (including grass weed control), firebreak maintenance (chemical control only), litter and rubbish removal, fence repairs/maintenance, green stock maintenance, mulching, tree pruning and post fire maintenance.

The latter (post fire maintenance) being on an as required basis.

The successful Contractor(s) shall be required to adhere to dieback guidelines and is required to provide all labour, plant and equipment, materials, chemicals, wetting agents etc. necessary to carry out all of the works.

The proposed Contract shall be in force for a period of three (3) years from the date of award; with Principal instigated options to extend the period for one (1) subsequent year period and up to an additional twelve (12) months after that, to a maximum of five (5) years.
