Adjudication Certificate Course Provider

⁠⁠⁠The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) is seeking Proposals for an adjudication certificate course provider.

Section 60 of the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act 2004 (Qld) (Act) sets out factors which determine whether a person is a suitable person to be registered as an adjudicator. One of those factors is an adjudication qualification.

In December 2015, amendments to the Act took effect, which included the removal of statutory functions of Authorised Nominating Authorities. Prior to the amendments, the Authorised Nominating Authorities provided adjudication qualification courses to persons interested in qualifying as an adjudicator under the Act. With the amendments in effect, a new course provider is required.

The QBCC seeks a course provider for the preparation and delivery of a new adjudication qualification course (Course), the details of which will be prescribed by regulation under section 111 of the Act. Completion of the Course will entitle Course participants to apply to the Customer for registration as an adjudicator under the Act.

The QBCC has issued this Invitation to Offer with the objective of appointing a qualified training provider to prepare and deliver the Course.
